St. Benedict gunmetal hematite military style five decade Rosary - medium size
This St. Benedict Rosary features electroplated gunmetal hematite beads of various sizes, inspired by the military-issue Rosaries of WWII. This Rosary is more simple and utilitarian than my usual work, but as a Mother of an active duty service member, I was inspired to craft it with him in mind! The resulting Rosary is elegant, yet strong and purposeful.
Hematite is a cool, heavy stone, giving this Rosary much presence.
The Ave beads of this Rosary are a smaller size than I typically use. This was done in order to better pair with the St. Benedict round Pater beads that match the center and large Crucifix. Please make sure to view the photo of this Rosary in my hand for size reference. I have a woman's medium-large glove size hands.
Silver tone base metal center, crucifix and findings.
Each Rosary I make is prayerfully assembled. Most of my work is one of a kind, but this Rosary in particular I will be crafting multiples of.
In addition to creating the custom Rosaries shown here, I'm also a member of Our Lady's Rosary Makers and make Mission Rosaries, to send to communities in need.
NOTE: Unless specified as a smaller sized Rosary, the majority of my Rosaries (and this one being viewed) are medium to large in size, using 7-8mm Ave beads, and 10-12mm Pater beads. I show my Rosaries held in my hand so that you can envision their scale. My Rosaries have a substantial feeling in your hand, and average weight is around 6 ounces.
