Passionflower Floral Blossom Jelly
Passionflower, also known in the south as "Maypops" is a beautifully whimsical flower, which grows abundantly in these regions, and produces a sweet tropical tasting fruit later in the season. The vines are a host to the Gulf Fritillary caterpillar, and the flowers are edible, fragrant and exquisite!
Floral jellies are delicious served with scones, biscuits, croissants or shortbreads. They can also be a unique addition to a charcuterie board alongside mild cheeses such as brie or ricotta.
I only make one batch per year, so this is a limited availability, seasonal product!
